with Krismas
to celebrate
gift-giving or

what about our savior
who died for our sins,
crucified on the cross
with nails in both hands
Was it Santa Clause
or Satan's Clause
that provided for
the red suit and
the fat, jolly man
to climb down a hot, narrow
chimney in the midst
of winter
to deliver presents
or Lucifer's presence
to lighten the hearts of children
and capture their souls
by giving material things- not love
Using the birth or mass
of Christ
as a reason to spend bread,
have a feast or get fed
and drink wine
to get drunk
don't forget to
take the presents
out of the trunk
and you say
"Jesus is the reason for the season"
Then where's the
love and the
ho, ho, holy spirit on December 25th
Maybe it's wrapped
up under the Givemust tree or
beneath the mistletoe
Giftmas-
